Logan Company
is a duo of old school buddies. Katy Gilmore and Kathryn Logan have been making work together since 2010. The work they create comes in many forms. Set pieces of choreography, dance on camera, and improvisation. They work together in Brooklyn, NY and take an annual vacation residency at Silo, Kirkland Farm as part of Dance NYC. They have presented work at Center for Performance Research, Lincoln Center Institute, Dixon Place, Webster Hall, Greenspace, The Hart School, The New School, and Shape Shifter Lab. They curated the series "New Voices in Live Performance" at Center for Performance Research in 2014. They are in the process of developing a new live performance quartet with two composers. They are in the process of developing and filming a documentary about creative process - the ins and outs, the misconceptions, the complexities. They are in the process of creating a body of dance for the camera. They are in the process of deciding where in the heck to live and what in the heck to do.
